Services
Jehovah's Witnesses are require to meet at Kingdom Halls once to three times a week for worship purposes. Meetings usually begin with public Bible-based lectures. Topics discussed in The Watchtower magazine are also covered.
Assemblies and Conventions
Jehovah's Witnesses maintain contact with other believers throughout the world by means of assemblies and conventions. These meetings include religious lectures, interviews, prayer, skits and singing. Every year, about 20 congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses meet in two-day assemblies. About once every five years, Witnesses from around the world meet in a major city for an international convention.
Shunning
When a Jehovah's Witness is found guilty of sin, the wrongdoer is expelled from the congregation. Jehovah's Witnesses regard this practice as a means of bringing the wrongdoer back into fellowship while protecting other members. This is only done if the wrongdoer has repeatedly committed the sin. The wrongdoers are completely avoided by former fellow-worshipers. However, they can always return back to the faith if they reject the sin for which they were shunned.
